When completed the 300 MW thermal power plant will produce 2 million MWh of energy per year.〔 Commercial operation is scheduled for the second half of 2016.〔(Loan Agreement for the Stanari Mine Signed Today. ) ''EFT Group'', 16 April 2014. Retrieved on 2014-29-08.〕 Coal will be supplied by Stanari coal mine which underwent refurbishment in 2006 in order to provide stable fuel supply to the Stanari TPP.
